Celebrating National Parents’ Day – A Heartwarming Tribute

27 July 2025 - Posted in Celebrations by

At Open Fields School, we firmly believe that parents are the first teachers, the guiding lights, and the strongest pillars in a child's life. To pay tribute to their selfless love and sacrifices, we celebrated National Parents' Day with immense enthusiasm, joy, and emotional fervour.

The celebration united our school community in a lovely celebration of the parent-child bond — a bond founded on love, care, and numerous sacrifices.

A Grand Beginning

The festivities commenced with a Deep Prajwalan ritual in which parents participated in lighting the ritual lamp, initiating the auspicious proceedings of the event. This was followed by a powerful and elegant Ganesh Vandana dance performance by our students, praying for success and positivity.

Immediately after, students established the mood for the day with a lively welcome song dance routine to warmly welcome all parents. The whole auditorium was filled with applause and smiles, as the mood was further intensified.

Performances that Touched the Heart

Kids from every class took their place on stage resembling true stars in their sparkling, coordinating costumes. From our littlest toddlers to our proud seniors, each child acted with unparalleled passion.

For most parents, the moment was a tearful one — particularly those witnessing their child for the first time standing on stage. The beaming smiles, watery eyes, and constant applause expressed the pride and love within every heart.

Besides the magic, students also did reflective skits and acts that portrayed the numerous sacrifices parents undergo for their kids' happiness, education, and development. These were not only fun but also very profound, reminding us all about the sacrifice and love inherent in being a parent.

A Day to Remember

The day was more than a celebration; it was a sincere "Thank You" to all the parents for their unwavering love and unending support. The auditorium was filled with laughter, applause, and a sense of belonging that makes the Open Fields School family so very special.

We are grateful for our students for their commitment, talent, and self-confidence, and thankful to our parents for always being on the journey with us.

Cherished Memories

Each enigmatic moment — from the Deep Prajwalan to Ganesh Vandana, from the colourfully dancing students to the tear-jerking skits — was documented through photographs and videos, which were posted on our official Facebook and Instagram handles. Parents showered their love and support on all the photos and videos to revisit those moments.

At Open Fields School, events such as National Parents' Day are not merely about performances — they are about strengthening the relationship of home and school, reveling in the essence of togetherness, and letting children know the love and sacrifices that foster their development.

Here's to celebrating parents — today and every day!
