Open Fields Premier League – Day 2 Delivers Drama, Sixes & Finalists!

18 June 2025 - Posted in Holidays by

The cricket fever only intensified on Day 2 of the Open Fields Premier League (OFPL) held on 18th June, as our enthusiastic summer campers gave us two electrifying matches filled with roaring sixes, sharp fielding, and standout individual performances.

With the finals inching closer, the day held high stakes for all four teams—Brij Bouncers (BB), Lohagarh Legends (LL), Ranjeet Royals (RR), and Keoladeo Kings (KK). And what a day it turned out to be!

League Match 3: Brij Bouncers vs Lohagarh Legends

Brij Bouncers came out blazing in today’s opening match, putting up a massive 85 runs in 8.2 overs with the loss of just one wicket. Prince (21), Mahika (20), and Garvit (16) were unstoppable with the bat, hammering the bowlers all around the ground. Despite an early breakthrough by Heyansh who dismissed Shanvi on just the 2nd ball, Lohagarh Legends couldn’t contain the momentum.

Chasing 86, LL collapsed under pressure, managing only 21 runs in 7.2 overs, losing one wicket. No batsman from LL could reach double digits. Mahika starred again—her brilliant bowling and sharp field placements kept the run flow in check and the batters in a spin. Brij Bouncers won by a commanding 64 runs, soared to the top of the points table, and secured their place in the finals!

League Match 4: Ranjeet Royals (Orange) vs Keoladeo Kings (Red)

In a thrilling second match, Keoladeo Kings posted 59 runs in 7.1 overs, thanks to contributions from Kunal (13), Hazel (17), and Prince (12). However, star performer from the previous game, Mitansh Agrawal, was dismissed on the first ball by Aaditri, who filled in superbly for Dakshit.

Ranjeet Royals responded in style! With Kunj (16), Kridha (19), and Manya (18) building a steady chase, the Royals reached 68 runs in just 6.5 overs with 2 wickets down. Prerna and Hazel were superb with their fielding efforts but they could not stop RR.

The highlight of the match? Manya smashing three consecutive sixes to seal the win in thrilling fashion—before being dismissed by Tanish. With this, RR has also secured their place in the finals!
