The excitement continued to soar on 25th June, as the third and final league day of the Open Fields Premier League (OFPL) brought cricket, camaraderie, and cracking performances to the field. Though the two finalist teams had already been decided, the matches held nothing back—teams brought their A-game, not just for points, but for pride, performance, and momentum ahead of the grand finale.
League Match 5: Brij Bouncers vs Ranjeet Royals
In a clash between the two table-toppers and finalists, Brij Bouncers (BB) once again showed why they are the most feared side of the tournament. Setting yet another massive target of 85 runs in 8.4 overs, their batting order fired on all cylinders. Garvit (26) and Prince (20) set the tempo, with supporting contributions from Arjun, Aniket, and Mitansh Saini, all chipping in with 10 runs each.
While Ranjeet Royals (RR) had already secured their place in the finals, they were eager to break BB’s winning streak. Manya’s stunning catches gave hope to RR’s fielding unit, helping Dakshit and Kridha pick up a wicket each. But the real masterstroke was BB’s strategic captaincy. Mahika’s brilliant field placements, combined with her self-caught dismissal of Manya, held RR to just 49 runs in 7 overs, giving BB a huge psychological edge going into the finals.
League Match 6: Keoladeo Kings vs Lohagarh Legends
The second match was all about salvaging pride for Keoladeo Kings (KK) and Lohagarh Legends (LL), both out of contention for the final. KK came out swinging, posting their best total of the tournament — 84 runs in 8 overs. The standout performance came from Mitansh Agrawal, who rebounded gloriously from a previous duck to blast four consecutive sixes, scoring a tournament-high 32 runs.
LL’s chase saw moments of promise. Heyansh matched the fireworks with four sixes of his own. However, the absence of star player Anaya was felt. Pihu, who needed to anchor the chase, was bowled out on the very first ball by Aavya, crushing LL’s chances. The match concluded with LL at 65 runs in 6.1 overs, falling 19 runs short.
